I'm excited to have you here too. Whereabouts in the world are you, Hailey?
HAILEY
I am in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, so I'm in Illinois here in the US.
ROBIN
Oh, fantastic. I’d love to go to Chicago. It's on my bucket list. I'll get there one day, I'm sure.
HAILEY

So should we start the questions?
HAILEY
Definitely.

And there it goes. So, Hailey, could you tell me, please, who is your ideal client?

Yeah. I work with health, life, and mindset coaches primarily, but I also work with online service providers who wanna be able to get more clients, be able to expand their online visibility, and maybe struggle with feeling overwhelmed about where to start or what platforms to use, things like that. So that's what I help with.
ROBIN
Fantastic. And you have already alluded to the answer to question two, but maybe you could expand on it, please. What is the problem or problems that you solve for this?
02:35 HAILEY – Problem Solved
Yeah. So I have a little framework called Grow Your Business the F. A. S. T. Way. It's an acronym, and it stands for Followers, Action, Sales, Time management and Transformation.
And those are the types of things I work on with clients. So when I say Followers, I mean, working on who is their niche and then how are they gonna be attracting new leads. When I say Action, I mean what kind of content offers and copy will drive action. When I say Sales, I mean your sales process, making sure your pricing's appropriate, that kind of thing, sales confidence. Time management is helping you know what to focus on in your business and what to prioritize. And transformation is helping you make sure the point a to point b of your offer is differentiated and clear as well as you have a strong mindset so that you can transform lives as an entrepreneur and, you know, grow yourself as well.
ROBIN
Wow. That's quite a comprehensive package you've got there. That sounds amazing. Gosh.
HAILEY
Thank you.
ROBIN
Okay. So alright. Well, I feel kind of redundant asking this question because there's so many things that you cover, but I'm gonna ask it anyway. What is one Valuable Free Action? I'm sure you've got many, but what's one Valuable Free Action that the audience can implement that will help them solve their problem?
03:50 HAILEY – Valuable Free Action (VFA)
Well, if you wanna book your next clients or your sales have been stagnant, one suggestion I would have is ask yourself, what is the lowest hanging fruit where I could make more offers? Because at the end of the day, the number of offers you make minus the no's equal your results. And so every day, you can be putting yourself in a position to either be able to make an offer at some point by nurturing your audience, by seeing what they wanna see from you in your content and things like that, offering freebies. And then there's also paid offers where you're gonna actually be doing a sales webinar or inviting them to a discovery call or things like that.
So look at what has worked in the past, or where do you feel called to show up for your people, and how can you start making more offers? Whether that's an offer to be on a podcast or an offer to your freebie and your post or an offer to your new followers to say that, you know, they get you they you have a free welcome gift for them. Just how can you start making more offers?
ROBIN
Brilliant. Solid sound advice. I love it. Thank you so much. Alright. So now we have a better understanding of what you do or what you do is vast in scope.
Let's dive into GoalBusting, which is focusing on how to maximize productive time to achieve business goals. So, Hailey, could you share any tips or advice for someone looking to improve their productivity habits?
05:10 HAILEY – Valuable Productive Action (VPA)
Yeah. So I think the first thing would be start breaking down your tasks into very, very clear, yes, I did this, no, I didn't do this, and yes, I can do this in under thirty minutes. If not, you need to break it down more because so many people have huge, vague tasks on their to do list to the point where they feel defeated before they even start, such as edit my website, which is, like, four pages. There's tons of different steps within that versus just deciding today that they're gonna work on the headline at the top of their website, for example, which is a much better thing to put down on your to do list because you can actually say, yes. I did that. We're next step would be to do x y z.
The other thing I would suggest is waste less time in emotional, distress or emotional drama because that weighs down your energy and that makes you less productive. So anytime you're overthinking something, come back to the question, what's the next logical step?
And always remember that you there is no right or wrong next step. Just get into action first to prevent yourself from getting into analysis paralysis.
ROBIN
Oh, yeah. I love that. That really addresses my specialty, procrastination versus productivity, and you've just revealed there. I always say that people that don't procrastinate, they leave us clues.
They say success leaves clues, and you've just explained a really powerful mindset there of how someone who doesn't procrastinate does that by the way that they think things through. So thank you. That was very powerful, very powerful indeed. Thank you.
So finally, Hailey, what should I have asked you today that I didn't, and what would your answer be, please?
06:50 HAILEY – Bonus Material
Yeah. Oh, wow. So what I would say is maybe what's some common mistakes I see when people are starting out their business or trying to scale to the next level. And I think one of the biggest mistakes that I see is focusing on what I call ego boosting activities or busy work instead of what we call the client generating activities. So if anything you're doing doesn't lead to, you know, more partnerships, more, email subscribers, and you're not always gonna know. You have to do trial and error to figure that out. But if what you're doing is, for example, editing a Instagram graphic for three hours or obsessing over your logo or thinking your website needs to be perfect before you ever go out and do anything.
Those are the kinds of things that I think people get tripped up on, and they let that delay them. So my goal is to help you focus on the things that I call the four steps of client attraction, which we can save for another day. But get focused on those things so that you're not, you know, just wasting your time or spending a lot of time on busy work or things that just make you feel good, but they're not actually moving the needle forward.
ROBIN
Yeah. It's almost like if there's a webcam in my living room in my office, and then you're watching me work. It's like, she's inside my head. You're absolutely right. I completely agree with you. You can spend so many… I mean I'm a chronic procrastinator, that's my background story which I won't go into here, but people who read my book will find it, is that you can spend so much time being incredibly busy. And at the end of the day, at the end of the week, at the end of the month, at the end of the year, you think, I didn’t actually achieve anything.
HAILEY
Mhmm.
ROBIN
You know, you might have the most beautiful looking website, but no money coming in because you haven't actually gone after the client.
HAILEY
Right.
ROBIN
And you actually mentioned it in when in answer to question four, you talked about, you know, working on one thing on your website instead of just generalizing about get the website done. And then you answered that in the next question by pointing out that yeah, but even then, don't spend too act too long on it. You know? You can, like, a headline on a website or a piece of graphic, you could spend all day on it.
HAILEY
Oh, for sure. Yeah.
ROBIN
Easily.
And it's a good thing it needs to get done. But…
HAILEY
Mhmm.
ROBIN
What did you do today that actually brought you in some business?
HAILEY
Right. Yeah. Give yourself a deadline and run with what you got and make that the best choice you possibly could have.
ROBIN
Yeah.
HAILEY
If you need to change it later, you always can, but gotta keep moving forward.
ROBIN
Definitely. I love that. Thank you so much. You've imparted so much wisdom in such a short amount of time.
